On behalf of our client in the Consulting Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Network Engineer. Network Engineer - Job Description
Reporting into the Manager, IT Infrastructure, the incumbent will be responsible for completing infrastructure activities within the networking sphere
Ensure Client’s core networking systems are secure, standards based and resilient
Whilst we would expect the role holder to have an appreciation of other infrastructure technologies, the main requirements for the role are to implement, recommend and deliver networking changes across the portfolio of Client
Responsibility for keeping Client networks up and running
Provide 3rd line support of networking equipment and networks at our clinic and business locations
Ensure network infrastructure best practice is maintained to ensure system security and availability
Act as a subject matter expert for networking, assisting colleagues across the business with your skill, knowledge and experience with regards to networks and networking
Deploying, configuring and maintaining of Client network and associated equipment
Proactive monitoring of equipment and network links to ensure performance and capacity to meet business needs
Day to day administration of Cisco Meraki, HP Aruba, Dell and other vendor switching / routing equipment to meet new business solution or site requirements
Create documentation for new systems and services, including both technical and non-technical audiences
Manage associated 3rd parties as appropriate to ensure they deliver the required services on time and to quality
Essential
Working alongside the Server & Cloud engineers to understand what they are implementing, documenting their method of procedures
Implementations to be performed after hours, weekday and weekend evenings
This will be a implementations OR support role providing hyper care support for Switch Remediation and Hardware refresh projects
Performing changes in Cisco Meraki firewalls and Ubiquiti switches, Access Points, IoT devices and specific equipment
Ensuring residual issues are handled to avoid going to the BAU Helpdesk
Network Engineer - Mandatory Skills
Advanced understanding of IP management, subnetting, and DNS management
Experience with Microsoft 365
Oral and written communications skills are required
Design and support experience in a network IT infrastructure role
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
5-7+ years of experience
Working alongside the Server & Cloud engineers to understand what they are implementing, documenting their method of procedures
Implementations to be performed after hours, weekday and weekend evenings
This will be a implementations OR support role providing hyper care support for Switch Remediation and Hardware refresh projects

Azure AD, active Directory
Experience doing network engineering/support in hybrid working environments
Oral and written communications skills are required
Network Engineer - Preferred Skills
Systems Administration is preferred
Layer-2 and Layer-3 design and implementation experience for networking technologies preferred
CCNA / NSE4 or NSE 5 preferred
