Operations Manager

GCBS Group, headquartered in Durham Region, specializes in offering comprehensive commercial building services throughout Ontario. Currently we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. We are searching for an organized individual with a positive attitude, a friendly demeanour, and demonstrates a strong work ethic with relevant experience.

Position Overview:

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the organization’s operations, focusing on managing accounts, budgets, pricing strategies, contractor and technician recruitment, and vendor relationships. They are responsible for overseeing operational processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards. This role is hybrid and will require candidates to be both in office and on the road visiting job sites throughout Durham Region and GTA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations and prioritize tasks for supervisors, technicians, and contractors to guarantee adherence to service agreements at each site.
• Address and resolve work requests promptly and effectively.
• Foster strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Validate the authorization, cost-effectiveness, and appropriate quantity of purchased materials.
• Estimate job costs and provide quotes from contractors in alignment with project budgets.
• Monitor and optimize resource allocation, including labour, equipment and material to maximize cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct interviews to recruit new contractors and technicians.
• Act as a liaison between upper management, clients and contractors to communicate operational goals and challenged.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in facility service field or other related fields.
• 5+ years experience in an operation management role.
• Valid drivers’ licence and own vehicle.
• Proven ability to manage high volumes of work effectively.
• Strong time management, communication, decision making and analytical skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $85,000.00 per year
