Job Description:
World Fuel Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our remote team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a key member of our organization, the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our remote team, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and optimal performance.
Responsibilities: - Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and efficiency within the remote team - Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement - Manage and mentor a team of remote employees, providing guidance and support as needed - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication - Create and maintain operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency - Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members - Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement within the remote team - Represent the company in client meetings and industry events as needed
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field - Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a remote work setting - Strong leadership and people management skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Ability to think critically and problem-solve effectively - Resourceful and reliable with a track record of delivering results - Proven ability to drive innovation and change within a team - Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Knowledge of industry best practices and trends
