Payroll & Billing Administrator

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a well established heavy civil construction company specializing in mass excavation, drilling & blasting, pipe & underground utilities, concrete placement and asphalt paving. Our company has seen tremendous growth over the past several years and we are looking for a Payroll & Billing Administrator to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, the successful hire will be responsible for payroll and billing functions within the ARCP group of companies.

Requirements:

  • Relevant post-secondary education or two years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience using Sage 50
  • Extremely confident working in Microsoft Excel
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Able to process transactions accurately in large volumes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good work ethic and positive attitude

Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage all aspects of payroll, including inputting hours, calculating deductions, processing new hires and terminations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely payroll records and reports.
  • Preparing ROE and T4 slips.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions about payroll and benefits.
  • Administer some billing functions within the group of companies.
  • Other duties as required
