Product SME Position Description
This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge Street) 2-3 times per week - subject to change at any time. CGI is seeking a full-time Fund Accounting, Pension, and mid-office Expert to join our Institutional Investor Platform product team. You will be accountable for leading our application strategy direction and ensuring our strategy meets or exceeds industry requirements. The role will require thought leadership and working with client and industry community along with our CGI teams to establish an effective product strategy. The successful candidate will be a visionary with ability to be self-driven, highly analytical and an excellent communicator. You will have a proven track record of working cross functionally throughout the organization in order to communicate the business value to current and future customers. You will also provide thought leadership and help drive product investment plans. Your future duties and responsibilities
• Industry Subject Expert – Wealth360 Fund Accounting (incl. Pension and mid-office)
• Refresh and lead the product investment strategy for the fund accounting, pension and middle office services
• Align CGI’s client growth and segment strategies to product enhancements
• Drive forums for ideation and key industry thought leadership. Promotion/evangelist of solution vision and platform opportunities
Act as a disruption and innovation leader for institutional investment industry
• Collaboration in improving sales process efficiency and effectiveness initiatives to drive faster sales, lower cost of sales, and with less distraction to the subject matter experts
• Effectiveness in driving new marketing content through impactful communications channels to strengthen CGI’s narrative in key segments
• Enhancing collaboration, coordination, and cooperation across teams
• Lead in greater market awareness and perception of CGI’s strategy, products, and differentiators
• Clearer, more compelling messaging for internal stakeholders and the market
• Enabling functions to drive more impactful sales/deal management Enhanced RFP, presentation, and collateral material that profiles the depth and sophistication of CGI’s offerings with impactful, cohesive, and consistent messaging Market reviews and client segmentation strategy that aligns product strategy to specific target clients based on notable characteristics like geography, client type, and client size
• Strong collaboration and teamwork amongst all CGI participants
• Collaboration on strong sales, client-centric culture
• Participate in product design sessions to ensure alignment with market and user requirements
• Inspire and motivate the development teams to deliver innovative and exciting solutions with an appropriate sense of urgency
• Contribute to enhanced product offerings and successful business strategies
• Educate external and internal audiences about product differentiators and benefits
• Conduct research and analysis to help identify and evaluate customer business problems, current market trends, competitive landscape and technological capabilities
• Providing innovative ideas for the development of new product collateral Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 10 - 15 years of experience with Institutional Investment firms or service providers, preferably with Fund Accounting and Administration.
• Strong communication and writing skills and able to drive deliverables
• Experienced working in an agile environment
• Can communicate in both business and technical terms
• Able to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details
• Able to mentor and guide the team from a functional perspective
• Able to foster a culture of knowledge building and knowledge sharing within the team
