Job Description - Receptionist and Administrative Assistant

Receptionist and Administrative Assistant Location Kelowna, BC :

Epoch Environmental Consulting OKANAGAN is a brand new satellite office for the Okanagan region (our main office in Coquitlam BC and Abbotsford BC) seeking a Full Time Receptionist to perform reception duty and general administration.Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:00.

Answers telephones, routes calls, takes messages, and provides general information; receive samples and document them in the database; answers routine inquiries; maintains log of inquiries;Opens and routes incoming email/mail; distributes correspondence and other material to staff;Performs a variety of routine typing assignments as appropriate to the position; operate a personal computer in Windows, draft basic correspondence, data etnry, and print letters, labels, reports, and/or other materials; types and mails form letters and greeting cards;Schedule events, confirm work order details, client relations, billing and invoicing.Establishes, maintains, processes, and/or updates files, records, and/or other documents;Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and/or conferences, as appropriate to the position;Order, stock, and distribute office supplies;General housekeeping of reception areas;Provide support to office administrator as directed;Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.Completion of a recognized post secondary office assistant program.Word processing and/or data entry skills (this includes proficient keyboarding skills - 50 wpm minimum).Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures quickly and efficiently.Ability to prepare and print routine correspondence, labels, and/or other basic written material.Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment such as computers using internet and MS Windows environment, and such basic office applications such as MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel.Excellent time management skills, demonstrated multi-tasking abilitiesReceptionist skills able to manage a 6 line phone system.Good communication and interpersonal skills with walk in customers and co-workers.Customer service experience and good command of English both written and verbal.Minimum two years of related reception work experience an asset.Cheerful attitude, can work well independently, be proactive with a "can-do" attitude, and ability to adapt to busy schedule, juggling multiple responsibilities.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:00 pmTo hire immediately.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
