The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) is seeking a results-oriented, dynamic and motivated individual for the position of Response Centre Administrator in Prince Albert. You will be required to:
~ provide clerical/administrative support to response centre such as word processing, filing, compiling data, record keeping, bill payments and invoice processing;
~ provide human resource information and direction to employees, i.e. attendance/time certificates, benefits and entitlements; and
~ provide administration for Emergency Fire Personnel and other duties as assigned. This position will be involved in acquiring commissary and groceries to support district fire operations. Working conditions can include working extended hours, weekends and travel to remote locations. You may be required to work for up to 12 days in a row and be temporarily assigned to other locations in the province. You may also be required to fly in a small aircraft or helicopter. The successful candidate must:
~ complete a health evaluation according to SPSA polices/guidelines;
~ Possess a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license;
~ Have knowledge of computer programs such as word processing, Excel spreadsheets, internet, e-mail systems;
~ Be familiar with office equipment including computers, photocopiers and fax machines; and
~ Have knowledge of office duties including reception, filing, answering telephones, public inquiries, and correspondence. Knowledge of SPSA policies and procedures would be an asset: purchasing, budget processing, accounting principles as well as knowledge of human resource, Collective Agreement and benefits. The successful candidate shall be subject to a criminal record check as a condition of employment.
