RQ- Senior - Software Developer - ETL

Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Software Developer. As a Software Developer, where is in data warehousing, ETL processes, and Informatica will play a pivotal role. With over a decade of experience, you'll contribute to critical projects in the public sector, particularly in healthcare, ensuring efficient data management and integration within large-scale IT systems.

Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

Must-Haves:

Over 10 years of expertise in:

• Designing and developing data warehouses, emphasizing extraction, transformation, and loading into star/snowflake schemas.

• Building, automating, and optimizing intricate data ETL/ELT processes using Informatica or equivalent tools.

• Handling data migration and integration tasks.

• Familiarity with Mulesoft and Salesforce bulk load API preferred.

• Proficiency in Informatica transformations, mappings, and workflows (experience with similar ETL tools considered).

• Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MS-SQL), data modeling, advanced SQL, query optimization, and data administration.

Criteria:

• Public Sector Experience:

  • Prior involvement with federal/provincial/broader public-sector healthcare providers.

  • Understanding of the provincial immunization system and large-scale IT health projects or equivalents.

  • Experience integrating Clinical IT Systems such as Client and Provider Registries.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in various technologies including Informatica, relational databases, scripting languages (Python, Unix shell), cloud platforms (Azure, Google, AWS), big data (Hadoop, Spark, Hive), and BI/reporting tools (Cognos, Power BI, Tableau).

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies and Cognos 11.x report design.

  • Skilled in business intelligence, data analytics, data warehousing, and Informatica for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

  • Familiarity with version control systems, issue tracking systems, CI/CD practices, and DevOps methodologies.
