Scale House Attendant
What we offer
- 30 hours a week
- 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday to Thursday
- Salary: $20/hr
- Located in Sainte - Sophie
- Opportunity to be hired permanent
Responsibilities
- Serve as first point of contact for customers depositing waste
- Calculate payments, check loads, and ensure the safety of the customer and other employees
- Observe and abide by the safety rules and regulations
- Direct customers and other traffic
- Correctly calculate payments for customers
- Ensure that incoming waste loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material
- Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all the required PPE
- Provide general upkeep for the scale house
- Complete all administrative tasks including regular filling and completing required reports
- Keep supervisor immediate supervisor fully informed of all problem or matter requiring their attention
- Data entry
Who you are
- You have a high school diploma
- Ability to constantly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; frequently up to 50 lbs
- You must have customer service experience
- Capable of interacting effectively and supportively with customers
- Data entry experience
- Must be able to perform activities that involve stooping, bending, standing, and walking for reasonable periods of time.
- Ability to work in varying climates, weather conditions, and walking surfaces, inside and outside
- Ability to function well as part of a team
- Bilingual preferred
- Required to be exposed to physical environment that involves dirt, odors, noise, and weather conditions
Working Conditions - This position involves primarily outdoor work in all types of weather
- Must remain alert to potential hazards associated with this job
