Scale House Attendant

What we offer

• 30 hours a week
• 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday to Thursday 
• Salary: $20/hr
• Located in Sainte - Sophie
• Opportunity to be hired permanent

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for customers depositing waste
• Calculate payments, check loads, and ensure the safety of the customer and other employees
• Observe and abide by the safety rules and regulations
• Direct customers and other traffic
• Correctly calculate payments for customers 
• Ensure that incoming waste loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material
• Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all the required PPE
• Provide general upkeep for the scale house
• Complete all administrative tasks including regular filling and completing required reports
• Keep supervisor immediate supervisor fully informed of all problem or matter requiring their attention 
• Data entry

Who you are

• You have a high school diploma
• Ability to constantly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; frequently up to 50 lbs
• You must have customer service experience 
• Capable of interacting effectively and supportively with customers
• Data entry experience 
• Must be able to perform activities that involve stooping, bending, standing, and walking for reasonable periods of time.
• Ability to work in varying climates, weather conditions, and walking surfaces, inside and outside
• Ability to function well as part of a team
• Bilingual preferred
• Required to be exposed to physical environment that involves dirt, odors, noise, and weather conditions 

Working Conditions

• This position involves primarily outdoor work in all types of weather
• Must remain alert to potential hazards associated with this job
