Trixstar is a 360º event management firm that activates both city and rural markets across North America with festivals, concerts, celebrity experiences, brand activations and keynote speaker engagements. Our flagship property is the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival which is now the largest comedy festival in Canada. With it, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and safe experience that celebrates and features all forms of performance comedy, from locals to superstars. Our goal is to achieve excellence in all our operations while spreading laughs and joy all across the country.

The Role:

Located in Edmonton, AB, the Ticketing & Box Office Coordinator is primarily responsible for assisting with the management and maintenance of our ticketing system as well as all matters related to our box office. This role plays a key part in ensuring all our customers feel taken care of maximizing their enjoyment of our events.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the Ticketing & Box Office Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with managing and maintaining our ticketing system;

  • Assist with sending tickets out to customers, as required;

  • Make sure that we have a friendly and helpful presence on the phone, social media, email(s), and text line during office hours and event time ensuring customers never wait more than 3 hours for a response;

  • Produce and maintain accreditation spreadsheets and ticketing packages for all events;

  • Produce and maintain Guest Services documents and spreadsheets;

  • Manage Box Office and Guest Service staff during events when the Ticketing and Box Office Manager is not available;

  • Assist in creating the Box Office and Guest Service area to be inviting and festival-branded (e.g. plants, signage, staff shirts, backdrop, lighting, etc);

  • Assist in building Box Office and Guest Services containers and work with Logistics Manager to make sure these items are shipped to the right places and accounted for;

  • Keep projects and files updated and organized in Basecamp and Google Drive;

  • Follow up & coordinate for proper care of inbound inquiries;

  • Other administrative duties, as required.

Qualifications :

  • 1+ years of customer service experience

  • 1+ years of events experience

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience would be preferred

  • Experience using ticketing systems would be preferred

  • Experience running a box office would be preferred

Required Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to be creative and think outside the box

  • Ability to be resourceful when solving problems

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • High level of professionalism

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Willingness to give and receive feedback

  • Strong ability to learn new technology and systems

This is a full-time, temporary position with an expected start date of June 1, 2024 and an expected end date of September 30, 2024 . We offer a competitive starting wage and full-time hours (40 hours/week) with overtime/weekend work and travel expected during our festival weekends. Please be prepared to work extended hours and some weekends during the months of July, August and September. In particular, please be prepared to work the following weekends:

  • July 12-14

  • July 19-21 (note: travel will be required this weekend and possibly the week leading up to the weekend)

  • August 9-11 (note: travel will be required this weekend and possibly the week leading up to the weekend)

  • August 23-25

  • September 13-15
