What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will be responsible for the identification, development, implementation of new Asset Servicing sales opportunities. You will participate in the definition of strategy to take RBC Investor Services (IS) products to market to drive new sales through client acquisition and revenue generation.
What will you do?
- Articulate a clear vision for sales growth across your defined territory that primarily focuses on the acquisition of new client names.
- Point of contact for strategic discussions with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and COOs looking to drive digital transformation, innovation journeys, and operational efficiency exercises. Be conversant and comfortable having strategic conversations on asset servicing capabilities, operational process improvements, managed services, outsourcing and modern technologies including Front – Mid and Back Office Fintechs, Cloud, APIs, AI, Web Technologies, Security, etc.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process from new client identification, engagement, strategy creation and ownership for each opportunity, create and attend prospect and client meetings, set direction and execute on the sales activities.
- Partner across all areas of RBC to bring OneRBC to the market. Build and execute on a pipeline of large revenue, high-impact enterprise deals using RBCIS platform capabilities.
- Identify opportunities in the market for expanding RBCIS footprint by enhancing the use of people, process, and technology to deliver new products and services to the market. This will include liaising and collaborate with product, technology and strategy owners at RBCIS to build and deliver new innovative product offerings and construct enterprise solutions.
- Ensure sales pipeline opportunities are well documented to create executive visibility into revenue targets and pipeline.
- Ultimate ownership and oversight of the delivery of RFI/RFP and proposal management processes for opportunity portfolio
- Consultant engagement as required in support of complex long sales cycle deals.
- The work environment is hybrid with minimum 3 days per week in office however some travel outside of the office, typically to Canadian cities including overnight stays may be required.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 10+ years of relevant experience within the financial services and/or asset servicing industry
- Strong business development new client acquisition mindset
- Able to engage at “C” level across prospect organizations
- Sound technical knowledge of the Financial Services, Asset management and Asset services industry
- Extensive experience at translating product and technology vision and strategy into actionable programs and project capabilities
- Strategic, entrepreneurial mind-set; innovative, creative and self-motivating
