Position Title: Senior Quality Control Inspector

Purpose

Support the Project Management Team with implementation and monitoring compliance of project contractors with the project Quality Assurance system program and work closely with project quality Assurance teams and provide expertise and guidance necessary to ensure conformance with the global Worley and Customer Project Standards and Policies.

Responsibilities

Reports to the Project Quality Manager and collaborates with the project management team, and:

• Supports development of quality assurance processes and requirements, specifications and procedures for work on the project site.
• Support the Quality Manager with contractor quality document approvals
• Provide Electrical & Instrumentation technical support to field and home office staff.
• Review Subcontractor/Vendor pre-qualification applications & recommend disposition/path forward for Director of Quality approval.
• Review and approve subcontractor ITP-s.
• Perform site monitoring and surveillance of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to meet quality and applicable Customer specific requirements.
• Assist contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors in removing quality roadblocks.
• Ensure the ITP steps and inspection points are being adhered to continuously.
• Witness testing when required.
• Participate in Contractor and internal Worley site field and turnover audits.
• Review and comment on the E&I scope of RFP packages.
• Provide input and recommendations during review of quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Ensures project quality compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Verifies that project quality control inspection and test activities are undertaken in conformance with applicable company, customer, regulatory and contractual HS&E obligations.
• Maintains quality surveillance reports up to date in company systems and conducts follow-ups on closure of actions plans,
• Competent review of documentation of inspection and test activities as specified in approved inspection and test plans.
• Builds and maintains positive working relationship with all key stakeholders; seeks to learn and build understanding of project / customer objectives and expectations and provides input.
• Verifies adequacy of supplier data submissions typically including Quality Plans, and Quality verification records and provides analysis to Management team, as applicable.

Ensure that customer quality management requirements and concerns regarding supplier performance are being identified and managed effectively, as applicable. Build positive working relationship with all the project stakeholders, including client and Worley, contractor teams.

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience

• Thorough understanding of the principles and practice of supplier inspection management and the implementation and improvement of supplier management systems.
• Experience in document and data input

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training

Required:

• A recognised degree or equivalent qualification / industry or professional experience
