They are currently seeking a Junior Project Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project startup, building permits and construction management process review
• Produce and maintain construction schedule to monitor job progress
• Oversee the production of layout drawings
• Review and submit show drawings for approval
• Ensure that all orders for required equipment are produced in a timely manner
• Work directly with Project Supervisor and Foreman to allocate resources for projects
• Monitor the progress of projects to ensure timely delivery of completed projects to clients
• Conduct one week look ahead with project foreman
• Attend and represent the company at regular project meetings
• Produce and submit change order schedules to accounting department on a monthly basis
• Close up projects by requesting final inspections
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the electrical industry as a project manager
• Must possess electrical construction experience with a background in high rise
• Must possess a Building Technology Diploma and/or an Engineering Degree
• Must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Strong management, planning and leadership skills
• Prior knowledge in labour relations and union contract negotiation
• Must possess a sold understanding of OH&S regulations and related building codes
