Junior Financial Analyst

Description Robert Half may have a great employment opportunity for a Junior Financial Analyst that is looking to build on their skills and experience. An exciting Real Estate & Property company with plenty of room for growth is looking a qualified applicant to join their team. Responsibilities include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. Located in the Hamilton, Ontario, this Financial Analyst role is a permanent employment opportunity. Please note this is a HYBRID opportunity that will REQUIRE you to be onsite in HAMILTON, ON 2X per week at minimum. What you get to do every single day

• Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
• Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
• Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
• Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
• Drive P& L forecasting and Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis
• Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
• Flexible individuals comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations
• Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
• Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
• Complete and direct forecasting reports

Requirements

• Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
• BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
• Yardi experience highly desired
• Budget Processes experience preferred
• Deep understanding of Expense Reporting
• Finance experience preferred
• Proven knowledge of Yardi Property Management
• Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel
• Accounting Functions experience desired
• Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
• Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

• Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience recommended)
• Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
