Job Description - Mechanical Project Coordinator

Job Description Pro-Western Mechanical is a fast paced, mechanical company providing complete mechanical services for new construction of multi-dwelling residential, condos/apartments, town houses and light commercial/industrial. The candidate must be familiar with all construction related contract documents and processes and must have successfully performed a similar role on active construction projects. The candidate also needs to be savvy with numbers and have a good understanding of accounting principles which is essential to success in the role. The Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manager and will work collaboratively with the project management team. The successful candidate will work with the project management team to develop project document management and will assist with maintaining, follow-up of internal project processes. Including but not limited to; maintaining, auditing schedules (Internal, GC’s & subcontractors), contract management, project controls. Candidates who have experience with construction documents and processes will be considered. The role will be in-office and is in Saskatoon. Coordinator Duties/Responsibilities
  • Understand and facilitate along with the PM, provincial and local specific permitting, and licensing requirements to carry out works within the constraints of the place of work.
  • Facilitate use of database/document management
  • Maintain internal project schedule, direction from the PM
  • Schedule meetings (Kickoff/Closeout)
  • Maintain project document; turnover documents, change management related to project, commissioning reports i.e. supplemental instructions, RFI’s, shop drawings and change orders
  • Assist with Project Managers to compile O&M manuals
  • Assist with internal project check point deadlines
  • Track Field Assets
  • Other tasks/duties as may be required
Qualifications/Experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a project execution role
  • Post-secondary education in a related field of study (i.e. Construction Management Diploma/Degree, PMP certification considered an asset)
