About Our Client:

Adecco is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee our client's ICI construction projects. Our client is Canada’s one of oldest and top general contracting companies based out of the Toronto region.

Our client is a prominent construction firm dedicated to delivering excellence in commercial and institutional projects. Operating in Toronto, they are committed to innovation, sustainability, and exceeding client expectations. We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join their team and contribute to the success of our diverse and exciting projects in the Toronto region.

Position Overview: As a Senior Project Manager, you will take a leadership role in the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial and institutional construction projects in Toronto. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience, excellent project management skills, and a commitment to ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of commercial and institutional construction projects from initiation to completion.

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans.

  • Oversee project financials, including budget management, cost control, and forecasting.

  • Conduct regular project meetings and communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to meet project specifications.

  • Mitigate risks and resolve challenges that may arise during the construction process.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in project management within the commercial and institutional construction sector.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.

  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.

  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (preferred).
