User Interface Engineer- Canada

About This Opportunity:
H2O.ai is seeking a User Interface Engineer to join the team and help build out the next
generation of AI-powered user experiences. The position will require working directly
with designers, product owners, and engineers across the organization. As a candidate you should be an experienced Web developer, with a solid understanding
of Web browsers, and the standards they are based on. You should be able to work well
with other engineers on a team, as well as have the ability to design and build entire user
interfaces from scratch as an individual. You will have a keen eye for good design, and the ability to work with designers to
implement, extend, and complement their design concepts. What You Will Do:

• Develop high-quality, responsive, and scalable user interfaces for our web applications
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to ensure consistent look and feel across our products
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code that adheres to our coding standards and best practices
• Optimize the performance of our applications and ensure they are accessible on various devices and browsers
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in UI development and make recommendations for improvement
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Troubleshoot and debug UI issues and work with the team to resolve them quickly

What We Are Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in UI development with modern technologies and frameworks
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript
• Experience with popular front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Experience with modern front-end build tools such as Webpack or Rollup
• Familiarity with UI design principles and ability to create responsive layouts
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices for UI development
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

How to Stand Out From the Crowd:

• UI/UX design experience
• Experience with UI/UX design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch
• Full-stack experience with other languages such as Python, Java, or Go
• Experience with ML / AI
• Experience with designing and implementing data visualizations
• Experience working with databases, such as PostgreSQL or others
• Cloud development experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
