As a full-time employee you participate in following programs through a monthly payroll deduction. You are eligible for these benefits as long as you are employed with us.
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Life insurance up to $350,000 up to age 65; then up to $175,000 up to age 70. Life insurance for your spouse $10,000 and $5,000 for each child up to your 70th birthday.
  • Short-Term Disability up to $700 per week for a maximum of 26 weeks

True Mechanical is looking to hire a Virtual Design Construction (VDC) Designer. The ideal candidate is curious, motivated, and possesses outstanding attention to detail. This person should be a critical thinker and have the ability to complete personal tasks, and successfully collaborate in a team environment. The best-fit candidate will be method oriented, and should have a positive attitude that endorses the value of VDC. Knowledge of plumbing, piping and design skills are preferred, can be taught if necessary. Responsibilities
  • Develop mechanical 3D models
  • Produce coordinated layout drawings for field installation
  • Review construction documents, product literature, specifications and cut sheets
  • Produce spool drawings that are clearly labeled and dimensioned for fabrication purposes
  • Participate in coordination and project related meetings
  • Coordinating with project stakeholders including engineers, project managers and other professionals.
Required Work Experience
  • At least 1 year of recent work experience in mechanical systems (plumbing & HVAC).
Required Skills
  • Experience in 3D modeling using Revit
  • Be capable of reading and understanding construction documents (drawings, specifications and shop drawings)
  • Be able to identify conflicts with the architectural, structural, and other MEP trades and present well thought out and cost-effective solutions
  • Be familiar with applicable local codes, standards, and industry practices
  • Must be highly organized and able to multitask effectively
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with consultants, project managers and field crew members
  • Be adaptable and committed to learning
  • Knowledge of good field practices in plumbing and HVAC

  • BIM360/ Autodesk Construction Cloud
