As the first point of contact for citizens and visitors alike, you will be the go-to person for customer inquiries, relaying valuable resources, guidance, and recommendations. As a friendly and knowledgeable presence with exemplary customer service skills, you will help showcase the attractions and amenities that Regina has to offer! Key Duties:
Provide in-person and face-to-face assistance to customers, issuing passes, permits, informational materials, guides, and promotional items.
Manage inventory for permanent and satellite kiosks, ensuring an adequate supply of materials.
Maintain a comprehensive master events calendar and communicate updates to relevant departments and staff.
Assist the director with administrative tasks and support the overall workflow of the unit.
Handle inbound calls, emails, and social media inquiries promptly, recording details, assessing needs, and providing solutions within set timeframes.
Communicate effectively with internal departments and field staff, conveying information, instructions, and guidance on bylaws, regulations, policies, and services.
Collaborate with department leads to craft tailored social media responses and maintain accurate customer records in databases.
Conduct data searches, input, validate information, and generate reports using various software applications.
Other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of customer service, cashier processes, and reception procedures.
Familiarity with municipal organization structures and external agencies' programs and services.
Understanding of branch-specific and broader departmental functions for service delivery.
Knowledgeable about relevant collective agreements, bylaws, policies, procedures, and legislation, including health and safety standards.
Proficiency in office productivity software, internet browsers, enterprise software, and discipline-specific technology devices.
Effective communication and interaction with various stakeholders to exchange, collect, and disseminate information.
Building and maintaining relationships across business departments and external stakeholders, considering diverse communication styles.
Sensitively responding to the needs of all customers and clients.
Education & Experience
Completion of secondary school or equivalency.
A minimum of 2.5 years of previous and on-the-job customer service experience plus administrative and/or cashier duties. Working/Other Conditions:
Have a valid class 5 driver’s license. ✓ Note: Testing may be done to evaluate knowledge, skills and abilities.
✓ Note: As per the City of Regina's Criminal Record Check Policy , the successful candidate is required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check.
✓ Note: Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of acquired education. Jurisdiction: CUPE Local 7
