Job Description - Customer Service Assistant Manager

Fresh Market Foods is looking for a dedicated and dynamic Customer Service Assistant Manager to join our team. If you have a passion for customer service and strong leadership skills, this role is for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule cashier and supervisor activities, including cleaning tasks and daily operations.
  • Troubleshoot errors and technical issues, liaising with tech support for resolution.
  • Monitor stock inventory and follow the first in, first out (FIFO) principle.
  • Conduct monthly tobacco inventory checks and perform full store inventory annually.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and compliments.
  • Educate staff on customer service best practices and company policies.
  • Ensure front end staff comply with tobacco and lottery guidelines.
  • Train staff on the use of Dayforce and Dayforce Wallet apps.
  • Promote health and safety practices among the team.
  • Educate staff on company protocols and Canadian regulations.
  • Additionally, perform Cashier and Supervisor job duties.
  • Chocolate and Candies attractively displayed, well-stocked, and accurately priced (orders to place too).

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience, with strong leadership and communication skills.
    1 to 2 years of previous supervisory or managerial experience in a grocery store or retail environment, with excellent customer service abilities.
    Ability to work in a team environment, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
    Basic computer proficiency for scheduling and inventory management tasks.
    Conflicts de-escalation and resolution (with customers and with staff members)
    Flexibility and adaptability with tasks and people management
    Outstanding customer service (going above and beyond with care and attention to all customers)
