Director Location Vancouver, BC :
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class results at LKA Point Grey. You will lead your team by driving enrollment and maintaining operational excellence. You will perform and delegate supervisory responsibilities following LKA's policies while instilling our core values through example: Delight, Joy, Mindfulness, Learning, Empowerment, and Health.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Interviewing, hiring, and training instructors
- Planning, assigning, and directing workload
- Appraising performance, rewarding and redirecting employees
- Organizing and directing training programs, resolving personnel problems
- Addressing complaints and resolving grievances whether it be within the team or with our LKA families
- Scheduling for all instructors; holding instructors accountable for being timely and prepared for their shifts, presenting a kind and thoughtful lesson, and working as a team
- Building out seasonal classes/sessions into our registration software
- Sending and answering emails, helping parents with enrollment questions
- Working with support team to build the seasonal menu
- Preparing, scheduling, and receiving all relevant orders, ensuring LKA is cost-conscious,
- Building and maintaining relationships with schools and like-minded community partners
- Monitoring operational budget and maintaining records, reports, and filings accordingly
- Ensuring the school is operating in compliance with LKA/city/government standards and regulations
- Arranging for equipment repairs and maintenance, and overseeing waste management/pest control services as needed
- Ensuring food preparation complies with health, fire, and sanitation standards
- Working with Director of Corporate Locations to establish and improve standards for personnel performance and customer service
- Demonstrating excellence in customer service at all times
WHO YOU ARE
- Associate's Degree in Child Development, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or relevant 2-year degree preferred
- Previous management experience including scheduling, hiring, and adhering to budgets
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent time management skills
- Criminal Background Check, FoodSafe, and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications required
