Job Description - Director of Service

Mazzei Electric started in Nanaimo, BC in 1994. We started as a small family run company that focused on commercial service contracts. We now have a variety of multi-family residential, commercial, institutional, and light industrial projects across the province, complimented by our service departments that offer residential and commercial service and maintenance. We currently operate across Vancouver Island, throughout the Okanagan, and in Northern BC. Why work here? We are currently looking for an experienced Director of Service to join our Senior Leadership Team, which could be based out of any of our offices (Nanaimo, Victoria, or Kelowna). The Director of Service will be responsible for contributing to overall growth of the company, leading business development initiatives, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the Service departments, reaching financial targets, and providing leadership and guidance to the Service Managers. Areas Of Responsibility Leading business development initiatives and developing positive, long lasting relationships with our customers Ensuring sales targets are met and exceeded to meet overall company growth objectives Providing leadership, development and coaching to the Service Managers Managing customer service and accounts receivable escalations as needed Maintaining high quality service delivery in an efficient, productive and profitable manner Ensuring consistency between locations in terms of service delivery and management Manage the company fleet Analyzing service productivity and recommend changes to improve customer service and profitability Maintaining open and positive communication (both in verbal and written form) with employees, departments, customers, and vendors Fully support and promote Mazzei Electric's core values of Safety, Innovation, Relationships and Trust. Ensure compliance with company policies and recommend policy changes as needed Other Duties As Required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Minimum 10 years of experience in managing a service-based business operating within a multi-branch environment including leading a team and managing finances Minimum 10 years of experience in business development and demonstrated ability to facilitate business growth Ability to travel frequently between locations across British Columbia Experience in managing a trades-based service business and service technicians an asset Strong financial acumen including understanding of billable hours, margins, expenses, and labour costs Strong computer skills including the use of MS Office - Excel, Word and Outlook Experience using accounting or ERP software Excellent written and oral communication/organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work Valid driver's license and clear abstract This position will be offered a competitive salary of approximately $120,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year, plus an annual bonus based on company targets.
