Job Description - Financial Services Manager

We are the Maritimes' John Deere Dealership with 15 locations to serve you. 
Our Moncton Corporate Office is seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Financial Services Manager. 

Purpose:

As the Financial Services Manager, you will be managing the Accounts Payable and Cash Management team to ensure an accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, as well as implementing efficient process and controls to streamline the accounts payable and cash management functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of accounting administration employees with team members in multiple locations.
  • Manage the equitable distribution of tasks within the team.
  • Ensure all team members have appropriate training and resources required to effectively complete their tasks.
  • Monitor and analyze expense accounts for accuracy, cost savings and variances to budget.
  • Manage month end procedures and complete reconciliations.
  • Manage vendor relationships from an accounts payable perspective through timely and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage service contracts and renewal negotiations.
  • Management of weekly payment runs process.
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze the financial department to develop more efficient procedures and proper use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Support the Controller with design and implementation of features and procedures to enhance the accounting department’s workflow.

Requirements:

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Business or a related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in financial management
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and controls
  • Strong knowledge of excel and reporting tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to travel to company locations
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products an asset.
