Order Desk Representative
Position Purpose
The Order Desk Representative plays a pivotal role in delivering top-notch customer service, employing a professional, responsible, and supportive approach. Reporting to the Manager of Learning Resources, this position is responsible for ensuring that the appropriate resources are accessible for both in-person and virtual instructor-led training (vILT) classes. Offering expert guidance to members and students seeking training and safety program materials, including facilitating the shipment and/or purchase of materials.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of member and student orders and inquiries, fostering positive customer relationships by phone, email, and in-person
- Offering advice on training materials and safety programs, obtaining debit and/or credit payments, and providing follow-up support as necessary.
- Manage the receiving and shipping of stock, including vILT course materials for students.
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of stock inventory, conducting regular audits and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Prepare and maintain in-person classroom environments, ensuring all necessary materials and resources are available for effective training delivery.
- Facilities operational support including snow removal, furniture assembly, and various tasks during peak periods and vacation coverage.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience:
- 6 months+ experience in customer service, order desk, or related field.
- Required Skills and Abilities:
- The ability to kneel, bend, and stand for long periods of time, lift and carry items weighing over 50 lbs, unassisted, using proper techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Competent in Customer Relationship Management System (CRM), Learning Management System (LMS), and Canada Post EST 2.0 shipping software is considered an asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently as a strong and contributing member in a team environment.
- Excels at creative thinking and problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail.
Logistics
- Daily work hours are 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
- This position requires on-site work out of our Edmonton office.
Salary: 50,920
