Kelly's customer, located in Burnaby, BC is looking for a temporary Bookkeeper with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, specifically account payables and receivables, and payroll processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Pay invoices by verifying transaction information
- Scheduling and preparing payments and obtaining authorizations of payments
- Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions
- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Produce and reconcile monthly reports, and maintain confidentiality
- Provide Payroll assistance
REQUIREMENTS: - Post-secondary education or equivalent in Accounting or Business
- 1 - 2 years’ experience in a related position
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Intermediate Excel
- Previous QuickBooks experience is required
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organization, planning and prioritization skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated, able to work in a team environment
- Capable of identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner
PERKS:
- 3 month position with potential to go longer
- Work Monday to Friday from 8:30am - 4:00pm
- $29.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay paid weekly
