Director of Educational Services Location Châteauguay, QC :
The New Frontiers School Board requires the services of a DIRECTOR OF EDUCATIONAL SERVICES effective July 1, 2024, or a mutually agreed upon date.
Duties
Under the authority of the Director General, the Director of Educational Services (DES) is responsible for leading the Instructional Services, the Complementary Services, and the Transportation Services teams.
Specifically, the DES:
- Participates in formulating the objectives and policies of the school board;
- Works with the coordinators to establish the objectives, processes, delegation of responsibilities, and the standards and procedures for implementing programs;
- Prepares the departments' budgets, and controls and monitors expenses;
- Oversees and evaluates staff under their authority;
- Is an active member of the Administrative Council, and participates in decision-making for the school board;
- Plays an active role in the development and monitoring of the school board's Commitment to Success Plan.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (three-year program) in a relevant field of study;
- Eight (8) years of relevant expertise with at least three (3) years in a senior staff position;
- A permanent teaching license issued by the Québec Ministry of Education;
- Bilingualism (English/French).
The Ideal Candidate will also have:
- A master's degree in a relevant field of study;
- Strong shared leadership skills;
- A commitment to team building and a teamwork approach;
- A solid understanding of current educational realities;
- Experience in dealing with students from diverse communities and those with particular needs.

Class 9 - Working conditions are in accordance with the Regulation Respecting Certain Conditions of Employment of Senior Staff of School Boards and the New Frontiers Local Administrators' Policy .
