Technology Analyst

Global Financial Firm located in Mississauga, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Technology Analyst "This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work.
We will be expected in the office weekly 3 days depending on the team requirement. ****Video/ f2f interviews are required prior to all offers. Job Description: This position is for an Onboarding analyst in the Global Functions Technology team at Client, with a focus on model onboarding, data analysis and production support. Responsibilities: • Onboard models onto Client’s forecasting platform by implementing model requirements (econometric & IRR models) using various scripting techniques.
• Ensure delivery of model outputs in line with the expectation of stakeholders.
• Analyze Balance Sheet and P&L actuals and forecast results , identify issues, & implement fixes
• Answer queries from stakeholders on forecast results, reports etc.
• Collaborate with Finance and Statistical Modelling teams including collecting business requirements
• Work towards building meaningful analytical views on the platform that enable Finance and Risk take proper measures and decisions in their respective Client businesses
• Participate in creating effective and efficient processes and governance
• This position will include a combination of implementing new and executing existing forecast processes as well as working with business and technology partners to identify and develop enhancements, improvements, and new functionality.
• Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Banking, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications:
• 6+ years of working experience as Technology Analyst
• 6+ years of experience in Software Development Life Cycle
• 5+ years of gathering requirements and specifications
• 5+ years experience with Python, SQL, MS Excel
• 3+ years financial industry experience
• Strong written and oral communications with demonstrated experience in delivering the appropriate level of detailed status and communication to the respective levels of partners and stakeholders
• Sound understanding of fundamental Balance Sheet and P&L
• Sound knowledge of econometric modelling techniques
• Experience working with large data sets
• Preferred experience with key Interest Rate Risk metrics (IRE, EVS) Education:
Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience .
MBA (Finance), or Masters in Finance preferred
