Implement and enforce access control measures to regulate entry to restricted areas. Monitor surveillance systems and employ tactical approaches to identify and address potential security threats. Provide security escorts for individuals or groups, ensuring their safe movement within the premises. React promptly to any signs of potential security risks during escort duties. Respond promptly and efficiently to calls for service, addressing security concerns and emergencies. Follow established protocols and coordinate with relevant authorities as needed. Administer first aid and emergency assistance when required. Stay updated on first aid procedures and maintain readiness to handle medical emergencies. Detect and challenge unauthorized or suspicious persons within the premises. Employ conflict resolution skills and take appropriate actions to ensure the safety and security of the environment. Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Downtown Toronto Applicants must be at least 18 years old. A valid Ontario Security Guard License and First Aid Card approved by WSIB . Available to work flexible hours, specifically Nights and Days on Continental Rotational schedule. 1-2 years of experience in handling people with mental health issues and drug addiction Use of Force Certified (Asset) Ability to commute to the site Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada. There are no specific educational requirements, but a high school diploma or equivalent is typically preferred. Proficiency in English is important, as communication skills are crucial in the role .
