Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role based in Saskatoon, SK, with the flexibility for some remote work. As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer at Engcomp, you will be responsible for conducting day-to-day tasks related to mechanical engineering. This includes machine design, computer-aided design (CAD), project management, and research and development (R&D). You will work closely with our clients and team members to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. Responsibilities · Mechanical engineering and design · Project leadership · Mentorship of more junior engineers · Guidance for technologists and designers · Liaise with clients, vendors, manufacturers and other disciplines Qualifications This position requires demonstrated strength of leadership and proven time management capabilities. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) are essential. Your technical knowledge of the mining sector and your design expertise will round out your qualifications for this position. A solid understanding of computers and MS Office software is necessary, including proficiency in Excel. It will also be an asset if you have experience leading a small team and/or small projects. Key Knowledge & Experience A minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering are required. Experience working in the consulting field, especially in the mining sector and, more specifically, potash mining, is essential. Site experience and heavy industrial exposure would also be an asset for this position.
