As they continue to experience steady growth with 2 new facilities on the horizon, they are looking for entrepreneurial, high-performing professionals to join their team.The Senior Mechanical Process Engineer will be a critical member of the Engineering team. The main responsibility of this role is to drive efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness within their manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, possess a creative mindset, and demonstrate a strong ability to manage projects from conception to execution and beyond. Utilize engineering principles and innovative thinking to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of these processes.Lead efforts to enhance overall equipment reliability, ensuring smooth and continuous operation. Implement preventive maintenance strategies and analyze equipment failure data to proactively address potential issues.Independently manage engineering projects related to process optimization and equipment enhancement. Develop project plans, set timelines, allocate resources, and execute projects within defined budgets.Encourage and implement a culture of innovation by consistently generating and evaluating new ideas to improve self-sufficiency and productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement creative solutions to engineering challenges.Ensure that all engineering activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with process changes or equipment modifications.Collaborate closely with other departments, including Manufacturing, R&D, and Quality Assurance, to achieve company goals and meet customer demands effectively.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including technical reports, project updates, and engineering designs. Provide regular progress reports to the Director of Engineering.Stay up to date with the latest advancements and trends in mechanical engineering and industry-specific manufacturing industry. Seek professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.What you bring to the role:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldP.Eng designation is strongly preferred5 or more years’ experience in process or industrial engineering role, focused on continuous improvement initiatives and project executionExperience in mechanical engineering, powder coating, injection molding, chemical engineering environments or similarStrong understanding of mechanical equipment including pumps, pressure vessel, compressed air system, heat exchangers, etc.Proven success executing projects related to process optimization, equipment reliability, and project management.Proficiency in CAD software and engineering analysis toolsStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of implementing innovative solutionsAbility to work independently and lead cross-functional teams effectivelyExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A strong ability to present ideas to internal and external stakeholders through different mediums.Hands-on approach with a passion for creating and building solutionsA genuine interest in being part of a growing company, a willingness to wear many hats with a “one team” mentality
