About the Opportunity Analysis and Forecasting
- Analyzing daily attendance and revenue reports, as well as financial statements on a monthly basis, including variance analysis
- Preparing budget twice a year – coordinating with department heads and General Manager for accurate forecasting
- A wide range of financial analysis, including new projects or new exhibits, ticketing programs such as Sea to Sky, sales promotions and specials, revenue center performance and capital projects
- Assist department heads with monthly variance analysis
- Contracts - review and approve all contracts from a financial perspective, assist in the negotiating of new agreements or renewals
Accounting
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations (including bank reconciliations) and related journal entries.
- Calculate and submit monthly HST & WSIB remittances
- Manage Chase Paymentech relationship
- Reconcile ecommerce payments through the Accesso platform
- Assist with financial and tax audits and departmental inventories
- Assist departments with AP payments and help resolve any outstanding issues
Other
- Supervise cash office operations including hiring and training
- Miscellaneous projects or reports as required by General Manager or Director of Finance
- Assist as needed with on-site operations
About You - 3 years accounting/finance experience
- Preferably experience supervising / managing staff including hiring and training
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Detail oriented and organized work ethic.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees.
- Able to travel to the United States for training and as needed.
- Cash control experience required.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field preferred.
- Preferable experience in the entertainment, hospitality industries.
Salary Range $100,000 - $110,000/year
