Job Description - Front of House Team Member

*Chick-fil-A Location Recently Opened* Seeking Part-Time Team Members

At Chick-fil-A Queen Street West, we are excited to join our downtown Toronto community and connect with thousands of individuals. We strive to not only nourish our community with reliable delicious chicken sandwiches and waffle fries but to genuinely make a meaningful and lasting connection while providing exceptional hospitality.

Role Responsibilities

  • Rigorously adhere to food safety and restaurant safety and security practices
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with other team members and guests
  • Prepare, cook and package meals efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service that aligns with Chick-fil-A Queen Street West standards
  • Exhibit and maintain knowledge of products, services, and sales promotions offered to assist guest and team members
  • Always arrive to your shift on time and in full uniform: shirt, pants, belt, non-slip shoes, name tag
  • Navigate and use POS (point of sale) touch screen technology
  • Execute daily, opening, closing, daily, cleaning, stocking checklists
  • Maintain a clean, safe, stocked, and orderly work area
  • Perform physical activities such as lifting, balancing, walking, handling materials and boxes
  • Other job duties assigned by management to support business demands, including but not limited to wiping down tables, cleaning the dining room, greeting guests, line hosting
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask
  • Follow all policies and procedures written in the Chick-fil-A Queen Street West handbook
  • Have fun and build lifelong relationships!

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in Canada
  • Prior restaurant experience is not required, but you will need to get your Food Safety Certification within 30 days of your start date
  • Bend and lift up to 50lbs
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Can successfully uphold and demonstrate Chick-fil-A Queen Street West Values of humility, integrity, ingenuity, and perseverance

Availability/Schedule

  • We are looking for Team Members with opening (10am start) or closing (11pm end) availability.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Must be available at least 4 days per week; Fridays and Saturdays included

Compensation:

  • $16.60/hour, then $17.05/hour after 90-day evaluation
  • Specialization, tenure, and certification based wage increases available up to $19/hr

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.55-$19.00 per hour
