Di Salvo's Hospitality Group is a unique business with both a casual family style dining room and an elegant, Italian fine dining room under the same roof that have meals prepared by one kitchen crew. In addition, Di Salvo's has a strong catering business and a food truck that has it's food prepped out of a secondary kitchen in the same building. Our food is prepared fresh inhouse and is homemade as much as possible. We strive to produce delicious, visibly appealing and excellent quality meals.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Kitchen Manager/Chef to join our team. Under the direction of our Executive Chef/Owner, you will be responsible with a hands-on approach for the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and service.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in team management, restaurant management, and food safety with an emphasis on leading by example, cost controls & inventories and staff training.
This includes but not limited to the preparation and cooking of meals, calling the board, ordering product, hiring and scheduling staff, maintaining both labour and cost of goods targets. You will oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the kitchen and food production along with creating daily pasta and entree specials suitable for our fine dining menu.
Previous experience in fine dining Italian and French cuisine is preferred.
Previous experience with catering events, such as weddings and conferences with up to 300 guests. would be an asset.
A valid driver's license is a requirement
Red Seal Designation preferred
