Mercato is a successful family run Restaurant & Food Market established in 1974. Great Italian food products and service create our authentic Italian food experience.

Hostess/Host - We are currently seeking to grow our culinary team. We have a professional Kitchen, Dining room & Pizzeria that is reliant and fueled by motivated, hardworking individuals that have a passion for food. We welcome your resume!

Terms of Employment: Part-time Evenings/Weekends

Start Date: As soon as possible

Experience: Previous experience is an asset but not necessary. Experience with OpenTable

Education: Completion of high school, ProServe (an asset)

Work Setting: Restaurant (formal dining room) & Pizzeria (casual dining)

Hostess/Host Skills: Greeting and seating guests using OpenTable, answering the phone, making reservations

Bussing Helping Skills: Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs, set tables, Replace linens, Assist servers in service, Package take-out food, make coffee, tea

Weight Handling: Up to 20 kg (45 lbs)

Transportation: Public transportation is available but having a vehicle is an asset.
