Job Description - MICROS Simphony POS Integration Analyst *( Month Contract)*

MICROS Simphony POS Integration Analyst *(8 Month Contract)* Come work on one of the world’s most iconic brands and join our transformation journey at KFC Canada. The POS Integration Analyst is responsible for integrating MICROS Simphony POS solution with our existing Tech Stack. The ideal candidate would apply deep technical expertise to understand the business impact of a technical component, recommending, and implementing new solutions, ways of working and technologies to meet business requirements. Key Responsibilities: Work in partnership with franchise IT teams and vendors to develop integration of our mar-tech and restaurant tech stack with Micros Simphony. Develop solution plans, prior to kicking off a project as part of a product life cycle, intended to support business investment decisions which means they must hold the appropriate balance between costs, risks and quality of the product Lead projects as a Technical Product owner /Project Lead and work closely with Vendors, KFC Corporate employees, Vendors and Monitor the progress and the quality of the project and reviews and develops due diligence to confirm the developed solution complies with architectural design. Supports activities such as Business requirement documentation, QA, Testing of solution in our labs and assisting in setting up Infra and Labs Assists in resolving production issues wherever possible. Qualifications and Requirements: 5+ years of working experience supporting POS hardware and software 1-3+ years of experience working with Oracle Simphony POS , menu management, and integrations with peripherals such as Kiosks, hardware, Ecommerce channels Strong communication skills, ability to work with cross functional teams and exceptional attention to detail Ability to understand and troubleshoot point-of-sale functionality related to both hardware and software. QSR Technology, Kitchen Display Systems. Understand industry-standard configuration methods (XML, INI, Windows Registry, etc.). Reviewing debug logs and datasets and working with vendors to isolate the root cause and address a fix as needed. Strong experience with technical problem resolution. Must have great problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly adapt. Ability to quickly acknowledge and take ownership of an issue, Self-starter with the ability to perceive and carry out next steps without direction. Experience with large-scale implementation of applications, infrastructure, or databases related to restaurant operations and associated technologies. This role may occasionally be responsible for assisting in configuring, deploying, supporting, and improving our point-of-sale solution and hardware for client's brands. The role may occasionally collaborate and partner with peers to ensure stability across the estate and provide quick resolution times for escalations during the pilot phase of integrations. Work as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams. Support technical efforts with vendors and product teams to complete and enhance integrations. Assist with technical team documentation, ensuring processes and workarounds are updated, new solutions are properly documented, and the knowledge base is updated. Strong knowledge of application/integration testing, performance monitoring, and testing strategies is needed to effectively communicate with support teams. Nice to have: Understanding and ability to read and follow various scripts and debug files, batch, and complex log files. Practical experience writing detailed and concise technical documentation and specifications. API familiarity: REST, RPC, and SOAP, JIRA Confluence, Jira Postman What makes KFC a great place to work?
