This iconic Montreal hotel was completely renovated in 2021, with 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, 25 meeting rooms, and can accommodate up to 1000 guests. Reporting to the Banquet Master, the Banquet Attendant is responsible for setting up and dismantling rooms during events, receptions, or banquets. You will work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth running of these special events.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the banquet team to ensure effective setup and dismantling of events.
• Prepare and organize banquet rooms according to the specific needs of each event, following the department manager's directives.
• Handle tables, chairs, decoration, and audiovisual equipment, ensuring everything is ready before the guests arrive.
• Assist the service staff in setting up meeting spaces and coffee breaks.
  Provide support for equipment needs during events.
• Respond to clients' special requests, such as table rearrangements, addition or removal of equipment, and more.
• Participate in dismantling after events, organizing tables, chairs, and used equipment.
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of the banquet hall, including cutlery storage, dishwashing, and tablecloths.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and coordinated service.
• Adhere to company policies regarding appearance and uniform.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is a plus.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow department manager's directives.
  Good physical condition, as the position may require lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively manage stressful or unexpected situations during events.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
