Job Details

Wage: $24.00/hr 

Status: Part-Time 

Schedule: 6:00 am - 11:00pm

Location: 88 Queens Quay W, Toronto, ON M5J 0B6

Important Information:

• Hotel/Events experience is considered an asset.
• Adjust light furniture to arrange configurations as per client work order (chairs, tables on wheels)
• Work on a floor and perform various tasks including but not limited to stock duties, floor walks, replenishment of floor supplies, organizing and tidying, inventory, answering client questions or concerns etc
• Must show flexibility to travel between RBC buildings all year round
• The associate must always adhere to the Uniform policy (Black dress pants, steel toe boots when completing porter related tasks, name tag and uniform shirt provided for role of Porter/WSS)
• Associate is a team player and assists their co-workers when needed

Job Summary

How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for setting and clearing tables, stocking all service stations and assisting with meal services.

As a Porter, you will:

• Prepare table/rooms for resetting; promptly and consistently reset all service ware as instructed
• Maintain cleanliness of stations with necessary equipment, including silverware, linen, and condiments; wipe down booths and chairs, move tables and chairs, and clean floors as necessary
• Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor
• Perform all assigned side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking side stands
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning unexpected spills, handling special guest requests, and greeting and seating guests

About you:

• Previous work experience or training is an asset
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced and high-volume environment
• Demonstrate positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Ability to move, lift, carry, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
