Job Description - Senior Showroom Sales Representative

Senior Showroom Sales Representative Location Vancouver, BC :

Russell Hendrix is looking for a Senior Showroom Sales Representative to join our sales team in Vancouver . You'll be an integral part of the team's success, supporting and assisting in the direction of the showroom operations. This position requires a drive to deliver on goals, excellent communication skills, and a high attention to detail. This is an ideal position for an individual with food service experience and is looking to find solutions for customers in a dynamic sales environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Train new staff on Traverse operating system, using all relevant modules. i.e. POS, Item View, Item Availability, Customer Inquiry, progressing onto WM Move Quantity & SO Order Entry.
  • Oversee price change procedures & delegating to ensure they are done in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all warehouse & distribution centre transfers are received and posted accurately.
  • In the supervisor's absence, responsible for Bin Code updates, posting cheques into AR Cash Receipts and seeing all Bank deposits are made on the next business day.
  • Direct junior sales associates duties in between customers.
  • Top up empty bins on the floor by manually pulling stock from the Vancouver warehouse and quick transferring in Traverse.
  • Purchasing office supplies during the Showroom Supervisor's absence.
  • Assist all commercial and residential customers (walk-ins and calls).
  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Participate in merchandising and promotional activities.
  • Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times.
  • Keep showroom, warehouse and front counter clear from clutter.
  • Utilize front counter computer to invoice sales and look up information as necessary.
  • Perform daily cash procedures; handle cash/debit/credit transactions and close cash at the end of each day.
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge.
  • Un-pack, price, display and merchandise products in the showroom.
  • Promoting of all in-store demonstrations and events.
  • Maintain cleanliness of showroom; dust and tidy displays and front counter area.
  • Maintain up-to-date retail and commercial catalogues and price lists at front desk.
  • Count inventory as necessary.
  • Participate in product knowledge sessions and ensure that all product knowledge is current.
  • Contribute to a healthy and safe workplace.
  • Assist with shipping-receiving tasks when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • You are tech savvy and have experience with POS and ERP systems, experience with Traverse an asset.
  • You have experience with administrative tasks, such as invoicing, inventory, and filing.
  • You have 1-2 years of experience with commercial equipment sales.
  • You have demonstrated customer service experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • You are highly collaborative and team oriented.
  • You are naturally organized and have a high attention to detail.
  • You have an ability to be flexible in response to changing priorities and needs.
  • You have a passion to learn and contribute.
  • You work well with independently but know when to ask for help and keep the team informed.
  • You are comfortable with giving and receiving feedback.
