As an Account Manager (Principal) in Kainos, you will be responsible for running and developing named account(s) which includes account planning, account management execution, business development, delivery, risk & quality assurance, executive reporting, operations of all areas, people allocation and their morale and personal development. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Setting the direction and plan for named account(s) in agreement with the Sector/Regional Leadership Team, regularly reviewing progress against measurable objectives.
  • Agreeing the account priorities to achieve the agreed direction.
  • Effectively reporting on the direction and progress with Staff, Sector/Regional Leadership Team and client where appropriate.
  • Defining and regularly maintaining an account plan to align with agreed account goals and priorities set by the Sector/Regional Leadership team, including sales, revenue and margin quotas.
  • Ensuring timely winning and contracting of new business to align with sales and revenue targets, as well as maintaining a smooth staffing profile.
  • Developing and adapting the team structure to support your role and account requirements.
  • Proactively investigating, understanding and reacting to the specific dynamics of our clients; understanding political, economic and technology trends and implications for the client, all with a view to developing additional business.
  • Developing and maintaining a broad number of strong senior relationships to understand their issues and opportunities, utilising senior Kainos staff to gain higher level access.
  • Promoting all the Kainos offerings to clients and staff seeking out full Kainos Group opportunities where possible.
  • Leading all aspects of the operational running of the account(s) including full responsibility for business development, commercial performance, forecasting and cashflow.
  • Ability to form and maintain strong relationships at Account level
  • Experience in delivery of medium-scale engagements in the Sector/Region.
  • Ensuring successful and referenceable delivery employing sustainable and profitable delivery models in line with the company culture.
  • Ensuring risk management and reporting on an ongoing basis with active quality assurance.
  • Ensuring clear reporting lines and responsibilities within the team ensuring effective and resilient succession planning.
  • Developing of and adherence to Group People strategies to engage, develop, retain and attract the top talent in the market.
  • Ensuring Kainos company culture, modelling behaviours and values that exemplify the affiliative company culture are adhered to and maintained.
Minimum (essential) Requirements
  • Leading a large client engagement for a services business.
  • Leading pre-sales/business development activities and bids.
  • Proven track record of planning and implementing successful programmes/projects.
  • Highly knowledgeable of the following areas: People, Culture & Talent Development, Finance, planning and evaluation, business development.
  • Ability to plan and meet deadlines in accordance with complex, changing or ambiguous business requirements.
  • Acting as an ambassador of the brand internally and externally, displaying a professional, credible and positive image and attitude for Kainos.
  • Ability to lead, grow and motivate effective teams.
  • Innovative and driven in identifying ways to develop new business.
Desirable
  • A strong business network in the Sector/Region.
  • Experience of working as part of an Account team to deliver and/or selling services of scale and complexity (£multi-million) for at least two years in a previous role.
  • An appreciation and knowledge of technology delivery, agile methodologies, etc.
