24OTH23 - Emerging Leadership Mental Health Support Teachers (Summer 2024)

$55.14 per hour

FEDERATION AFFILIATION:
While performing this position, you are a member of the Ontario Secondary School teachers’ Federation representing the District 18 Teachers’ Bargaining Unit. Union dues will apply.
All groups will be staffed and supervised by UGDSB teachers with the support of Social Workers and CYCs.
As part of our summer mental health and wellness planning, identity-specific mental health supports are prioritized for our Indigenous, Black and 2SLGBTQIA+ students and students referred to specialized teams. Summer mental health supports are meant to be a continuation of service over the summer months and support to transition into a new school year for those currently receiving support from board mental health staff.
***Teachers are required for the following positions from July 8th - 12th, 2024. Teachers will be responsible for following the UGDSB field trip policy and procedures, including the supervision of students on the bus and during the field trip program.
