Your new role
As the Contract Administrator, you will be the primary point of contact for the construction of new projects. Your role involves preparing, negotiating, and reviewing company contracts, attending site meetings, and maintaining respectful relationships with various stakeholders. Your responsibilities include Contract Management: preparing sales and purchasing contracts. Negotiate contract terms with internal and external partners. Review and update existing contracts. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular field reviews of mechanical work (HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) on-site. Verify construction against design documents and applicable codes. Review contractor progress claims and change orders for accuracy. System Oversight: Attend life-safety system demonstrations. Verify system functionality during testing. Review Building Management System (BMS) interface. Documentation and Communication: Review mechanical trade documentation. Serve as the main point of contact for project-related inquiries. Investigate claims promptly and resolve them fairly. Project Compliance: Proactively identify potential issues. Report milestone dates and deliverables. Issue Site Deficiency Reports and verify As-Built Drawings and Manuals.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for an individual with a background in mechanical design (HVAC systems, plumbing) who has a familiarity with building technology design. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role. Understanding of HVAC, Plumbing/Fire Protection, and construction methods. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Collaborative, client-focused, and self-motivated. Bonus if you have knowledge of building systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Systems). Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
