Job Description - Mergers & Acquisition Integration Consultant

Note: Only local applicants to Calgary and the surrounding area with experience working on mergers and acquisition projects will be considered. The position is hybrid in Calgary. 

Our Western Canada Team is set to launch several exciting new projects, providing unique opportunities to engage with high-profile clients and drive transformative initiatives across diverse industries. We are looking for exceptional consulting professionals who have a broad understanding of solutions, and industry best practices, and with hands-on experience on business processes or technology projects.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Mergers & Acquisition Integration Consultant (Business Analyst) , you will be working as part of the Sia Partners team, delivering on various projects to our clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Must be able to articulate and visualize scope of work if not already done
  • Understanding of current processes and system touch points to document potential new business processes.
  • Leading business process walkthrough and design sessions to effectively scope and assess the impact of anticipated change to complex business processes, organization, and systems for the integration 
  • Meeting with process owners and subject matter experts to define and document business, financial, and operational goals and objectives related to the desired end state of integration.
  • Identifying business needs through requirement-gathering sessions and documentation
  • Consulting on solutions and design to ensure requirements are being delivered 
  • Identifying any interdependencies across multiple workstreams
  • You have specifically performed analysis on the integration of systems, people, data and processes as organizations have come together
  • You have experience in mapping current state and TO-BE processes and understand the intersection of these across multiple business units
  • You have experience in the design of future roles and processes taking into account the target post-merger operating model
  • Your analysis of post-merger integration is informed by suitable post-graduate qualifications such as a CFA or MBA
  • You have a strong working knowledge of systems integration and the necessary steps involved in cutovers and migration of information and data
  • You have a solid understanding of financial models and can work with the team to stay aligned on merger integration goals including the realization of the proposed financial benefits
  • You are a strong fact-based communicator that who to meet deadlines and succinctly informs executive teams for prompt decision-making
