Rate of Pay: $34.98 - $35.92 / hr

Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations and testing of new tower and existing Hospital plumbing systems and plumbing fixtures.
• Performs preventative maintenance on plumbing system.
• Modifies piping systems as required.
• Strict adherence to all applicable codes, standards, regulations and procedures as they apply to Healthcare Facilities.
• Completes work orders in a timely manner with accurate documentation of work performed in a computerized maintenance system.
• Performs all duties in safe and effective manner.
• Carries out duties as a member of the hospital fire team.
• Provides verbal or written reports as required. 
• Completes other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Certificate of Qualification (Ontario License) Plumber. Additional Certificate of Qualification in a related field is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a licensed Plumber in a Facilities maintenance role is required. Hospital experience is preferred.
• Additional mechanical experience would be an asset.
• Knowledge of all applicable codes, standards, guidelines and procedures.
• Available for overtime including call backs, as required.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal required. 
• Demonstrated reliable attendance and punctuality.
