The Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital is the only specialized tertiary rehabilitation healthcare facility in Alberta and one of a select few in Canada supporting a diverse and complex patient population ranging from pediatrics to adults and older adults. Working in close partnership with AHS Quality, IT and Data Analytics, Provincial Clinical Information System (CIS) teams and other partners, you will lead the improvement of the quality of care and outcomes for all Glenrose patients and their families.
This position provides expertise in the fields of quality, safety, measurement, program evaluation, translational clinical research, reporting & analytics, and clinical informatics, and other decision support services as required. This role uses their expertise to lead organizational transformation at a site level. Together with operational leaders, this role will oversee the reporting and application of clinical information for use in decision-making and performance monitoring. The Program Lead provides expertise and strategic leadership at a Site, Zone and Provincial level and collaborates with the Site Medical Informatics Lead (MIL), medical leaders, program and service managers, and site professional/clinical practice leads to enable and support all aspects of safe, efficient, and effective health services. This role works in close partnership with AHS Quality, IT and Data Analytics, Provincial Clinical Information System (CIS) teams and other partners, to lead the improvement of the quality of care and outcomes for all Glenrose patients, by transforming and aligning administrative and clinical practice and processes with clinical data, information systems and technologies. This is a key role and representative on Clinical Information System (CIS) forums at a site, zone, and provincial level, often leading many of these group forums. This is a dedicated position with a unique skill set to support the application and adaptation within this distinct specialized rehabilitation environment. This role is responsible for anticipating future needs, and lead planning, design, implementation, and evaluation to ensure that innovation and transformation occurs to align with the needs of patients and staff and support optimal clinical health professional practice across the site.

Required Qualifications:Degree (masters preferred) in health-related field. Member in good standing of the applicable regulatory college. Minimum 5 years recent health care experience in specialized rehabilitation. Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in areas of clinical information systems, information management, program evaluation and data analysis. Experience working with spreadsheets and databases as well as integrating, analyzing, interpreting, reporting, and disseminating data is essential. Recent experience with the CIS. A minimum of 5 years of management / supervisory experience. Combination of Project management, Organizational Change Management, Quality improvement experience. CPHIMS-CA certification preferred (Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems); membership in COACH recommended (Canada’s Health Informatics Association). PROSCI Certified.
Additional Required Qualifications:Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office suite. Excellent organizational, time management, project management, communication, critical thinking, and decision- making skills. Experience in a rehabilitation environment.
