It is a complex environment, constantly evolving and quick to change as we live our values of excellence, integrity, teamwork, courage, resilience and collaboration The Opportunity – Program Manager, Health, Safety, and Wellness In addition to supporting a growing organization, our emerging and talented HR team is also in “build mode” – meaning that the successful candidate will have the unique and exciting opportunity to partner, influence and provide expertise in shaping the safety culture within the organization Reporting to the Director of OD, the Program Manager – Health, Safety, and Wellness (HSW) plays an essential role in enabling our employees and our leaders to understand their health and safety obligations to take ownership of ensuring a healthy and safe workplace. The Program Manager HSW is the trusted subject matter expert who develops and implements programs, safe work procedures, policies and training to enable eHealth to deliver on our health & safety obligations every day How will you do this?eHealth is a provincial organization that has employees working in corporate offices, in health care facilities, and sometimes remote from home. eHealth places a high value on all dimensions of wellness, be that facility, health, wellness, and psychological safety. The ideal candidate would be able to offer knowledge and competence in all
  • You are accomplished with building health & safety programs, developing policies & procedures.
  • You can elevate health & safety awareness, inspire others to action and apply a risk-based approach to everything you do.
  • You are an effective communicator, able to build relationships while tailoring your approach to adapt to various individual personalities and styles.
  • You understand that meaningful and lasting culture change takes time and diligence, with every small step and conversation representing an opportunity to bring us closer to our goal.
  • You are a self-starter, able to manage your time, prioritize, develop and execute roadmaps while also responding to ad hoc requests.
  • You know how to develop and deliver structured training content on health & safety programs.
Typically, the Ideal Candidate would have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Health and Safety leadership experience required, experience in health care industry would be a definite asset.
  • Knowledge of applicable provincial legislation and regulations related to Occupational Health & Safety, Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board, and any other related governance partners
  • Industry recognized certification or designation (e.g., Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation) would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to monitor multiple projects simultaneously, establish and meet deadlines, pay attention to details, and execute projects to desired outcomes.
  • Must have adept interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products including: Word, Excel, Teams, Forms, etc.
  • Periodic travel may be required.
