Job summary Registered Nurse position in the ICU
Temporary Full-time position at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital
Provides assessment, evaluation, and implementation of care plans to acutely ill patients in the ICU

Responsibilities • Assessment, evaluation, and implementation of care plans
• Supporting the full service small community hospital
• Providing level 2 support to cardiac, obstetrical, and medical and surgical patients
• Coordinating transfer of patients needing higher level of care
• Working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Demonstrating leadership ability and organizational skills
• Performing well in high-stress situations
• Supporting students and other learners as a teaching hospital
• Submitting proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
• Accommodating needs under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and the Ontario Human Rights Code
Requirements • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nursing of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Demonstrated current knowledge of physical assessment and clinical decision making
• Demonstrated current knowledge and experience caring for critically ill or injured patients
• Current experience in pressure monitoring, airway management, and mechanical ventilators
• Demonstrated current knowledge of cardiac and respiratory arrest procedures
• Proficient in insertion of intravenous lines
• Demonstrated proficiency in working with patients, families, peers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Demonstrated excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership ability and organizational skills
• Successful completion of recognized intensive care related courses
• Critical Care Certificate and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (A.C.L.S.) preferred
