Job Description - RNs and RPNs - Visiting Nurse - Adult Program

We are seeking Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses Adult Visiting Program Full Time and Part-Time roles Available Toronto Central and Durham Region About the Program: The Adult Visiting program services clients who are 18 years old and above and require complex care and specialized nursing skills to be supported at home. Referrals come through HCCSS, and nurses cover the Durham, Toronto Central, and Central regions in the Greater Toronto Area. This is a visiting nurse opportunity, traveling and driving is required. There is a $2000 Sign-On Bonus for full-time nurses only. About the Role: We are hiring Adult Visiting Nurses for positions in the Toronto Central and Durham region. Nurses will provide nursing services like wound care, IV therapy, injections, removal of PICC lines, chemo disconnections, and more. Nurses will attain specialized clinical skills (G-tube feeding, Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), Occasional pain management, and symptom management) to service the complex clientele. Additionally, doing mental health support and check-in with clients is also required. Required Qualifications: Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Membership of your Professional Association preferred (RNAO/WeRPN). RN diploma/degree or RPN diploma from a recognized university or college. Nursing Graduates are also welcome to apply. Hold a valid First Aid or CPR Certification. A moderate level of wound care or venipuncture knowledge and experience is an asset. Acute Care and Medical-Surgical nursing experience is an asset. Knowledge of community nursing is an asset. Demonstrate effective communication (written and verbal) and documentation skills. Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality, and availability for the role. Commitment to modeling lifelong learning and professional growth and can apply critical thinking skills to provide client care. Successful completion of the Physical Readiness Test (PRT) to ensure safe work practices are followed (transfers, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling). A valid Ontario driver's license (G License) and a reliable vehicle for traveling is required. What makes VHA's compensation unique?
