Senior Architectural Technologist

The architecture division has expertise in aviation, transit, healthcare, commercial and industrial architecture as well as complex federal programs. They are working under a hybrid work model requiring staff in the office 2-3 days per week depending on project and team requirements. 

Why is this role open:

The firm is seeking a senior architectural technologist to join there team and who can work both independently, as well as guide more junior architectural staff on the production of architectural draw ing packa ges, in particular construction document sets. They need a team member who can be relied upon to solve problems relatively independently, and answer the questions of more junior staff. This role is well suited for someone who has work on multiple large scale and complex projects through their entirety, who has exposure to many different design challenges and technical solutions. 

Responsibilities:

• Produce document sets (from DD - CD) in Revit for large-scale buildings with minimal direction
• Draw on past project examples and create new details for both interior and exterior drawing packages
• Mentor and correct the work of more junior staff
• Coordinate with external and internal consultants (MEP and others) 
• Handle certain construction administration responsibilities (RFI responses, revisions, change orders etc) 

Must haves:

• 15 - 20 years experience in architecture industry 
• Mastery of Revit
• Experience in Contract Administration is preferred
• Experience independently creating construction document packages for large and complex buildings

Nice-to-haves:

• Healthcare experience (if not, projects with complex programming required)
