Position Summary: 

 

As a Software Development Project Manager at Nortek Air Solutions, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, to ensure successful project outcomes. This role requires strong project management skills, technical knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Position Responsibilities: 

 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables. 
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including tasks, milestones, and resource allocation. 
  • Coordinate and communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management. 
  • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective resource allocation. 
  • Facilitate effective collaboration and communication among team members, ensuring alignment and clarity on project goals and priorities. 
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues and implementing contingency plans. 
  • Ensure the adherence to software development best practices, quality standards, and compliance requirements. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance project management processes, tools, and methodologies. 

 

 

Position Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in software development projects. 
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities. 
  • Understanding of software development methodologies, processes, and best practices. 
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban. 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. 
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software. 

 

Preferred Requirements: 

 

  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, etc.). 
  • Experience in the HVAC industry or related fields. 
  • Knowledge of software development technologies and frameworks. 
  • Understanding of cloud-based software development and deployment. 
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and testing processes.
