Job Description - Workers' Compensation Case Manager

As a Claims Manager within a matrix team, you play a key role in customer relations and claims management for workplace injuries. You implement innovative strategies to help clients reduce costs related to workplace injury cases and foster a positive work health and safety culture. Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the effective management of workplace injuries for your clients within a matrix team
  • Guide clients in continuous improvement processes aimed at reducing the impact of workplace injuries on their organizational and financial performance • Advise clients on maintaining employment relationships and support them during job site visits as part of rehabilitation
  • Collaboratively establish strategies with stakeholders for optimal management of disputes at the Administrative Review
  • Enhance integrated service offerings by proposing solutions to clients for better management of occupational health and safety (training, medical expertise, prevention, legal, outsourcing, ergonomics, etc.)
  • To succeed as a Claims Manager, the following qualifications and skills are required:
    • Functional bilingualism in English and French (spoken and written) is mandatory
    • Bachelor's degree in human resources management/industrial relations or a related field (legal, administration, human resources) or a DEC in a related field
    • 2-3 years of experience in managing workplace injuries in Quebec
    • Proficiency in the process of opening and monitoring a file with CNESST (administrative and medical) and the rules governing temporary assignment
    • Experience in managing workplace injuries on a Canadian basis is considered an asset • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify potential solutions
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Good analytical and synthesis skills
    • Proficiency in computer skills, knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Suite Office 365 are considered assets
    • Team player who promotes collaboration
    • Demonstrates autonomy and adaptability
    • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage priorities and follow-ups.
